The SX4 has improved ergonomics and enhanced features compared to the previous SX3 model. It is slightly slimmer and lighter, with a redesigned grip for improved comfort and aiming. Function controls and the trigger guard have been enlarged for easier operation in difficult weather conditions and safer operation. The Active Valve System self-adjusts to allocate the exact gas pressure needed to reliably cycle a wide variety of loads while reducing felt recoil. The SX4 Field comes with a satin, oil finished walnut stock, and an Inflex Technology recoil pad. The Inflex Technology recoil pad directs and channels the recoil impulse, and features a hard heel insert for snag-free mounting. The safety is larger and easier to operate. Located at the rear of the angular-profile trigger guard, the safety is easily reversible for left and right-handed shooters. The chrome-plated chamber and bore resist wear and offer protection from rust and corrosion. A dropout trigger group is easy to remove for thorough cleaning or lubrication. Holds four (4) 2-3/4″ shells. Has an overall length of 49″ and weighs 6 lbs 12 oz.
